We are currently looking for a dedicated Facilities Maintenance Technician to enhance our residential maintenance team in Penticton, British Columbia. This role presents a unique opportunity to contribute to the upkeep of our established property portfolio while delivering exceptional maintenance services. If you possess the skills to perform general building upkeep, minor repairs, and cosmetic enhancements, we encourage you to consider this opportunity.
Key Responsibilities:
- - Conduct general maintenance tasks under supervision.
- - Perform grounds upkeep and minor repair duties.
- - Assist with general labor as directed by property management, including moving materials and running errands.
- - Execute painting and drywall repairs.
- - Change light bulbs, clean fixtures, and assist with furniture relocation.
- - Respond promptly to emergency situations and tenant inquiries.
- - Oversee landscaping and maintain common areas and parking facilities.
- - Carry out janitorial tasks as required.
- - Adhere to all relevant codes, regulations, and company policies regarding building operations and safety practices.
- - Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.
Required Skillsets:
- - Familiarity with maintenance equipment, materials, and supplies.
- - Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- - Ability to work independently and effectively.
- - Willingness to work extended hours during priority situations.
- - Flexibility for shift work and on-call responsibilities.
- - Successful completion of background checks.
- - Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Education and Experience:
- - High School Diploma or equivalent.
- - 1-2 years of experience in facilities management or related fields.
