We are seeking a skilled Building Operations Specialist to join our team at Cadillac Fairview. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service and maintenance of our electrical and mechanical equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform troubleshooting and repairs to maintain equipment and ensure a safe and healthy environment for tenants and customers.
  • Secure our properties against loss and liability by adhering to health, safety, and security procedures.
  • Monitor central plant and related systems to maintain a comfortable environment.
  • Test fire equipment monthly to ensure proper operation and tenant safety.
  • Perform daily inspections of common and maintenance areas to ensure proper lighting levels.
  • Respond to tenant concerns regarding HVAC issues and provide solutions or recommendations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma and enrollment in SMA or SMT (BOMA) program.
  • Minimum two years' experience in physical plant operations, HVAC, and related equipment in a commercial hi-rise or mixed-use environment.
  • Thorough knowledge of general maintenance procedures and familiarity with site and current technology.
  • General knowledge of HVAC electrical/mechanical systems and computer programs such as Microsoft Office and energy management systems software.
