About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Rope Access Technician to join our team at Peak Access Ltd. As a Rope Access Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient execution of rope access operations in various industrial settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Education and Training: Ensure compliance with all relevant education and training requirements, including the Industrial Rope Access Trade Association (IRATA) Certification.
  • Work Site Environment: Evaluate and assess work environments to identify potential hazards and develop strategies to mitigate risks.
  • Supervisory Experience: Provide guidance and oversight to apprentices and junior technicians to ensure they meet the required standards and safety protocols.
  • Certifications and Licenses: Maintain up-to-date certifications, including the IRATA Certification and First Aid Certificate.
  • Computer and Technology Skills: Proficient in MS Excel and MS Word to manage data, reports, and documentation.
  • Area of Specialization: Focus on construction and industrial rope access operations.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Demonstrate attention to detail, physical stamina, and ability to work in challenging environments.
  • Personal Suitability: Excellent time management skills and ability to work independently.
  • Screening Questions: Ensure candidates meet the required certifications, reside in proximity to the advertised location, and are legally able to work in Canada.
Requirements
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in rope access operations.
  • Dental plan, health care plan, and permanent employment.
  • 40 hours per week, with a focus on on-site customer service.
  • Fluency in English, with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and clients.
