Job Title: Carpenter

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at Stonehelm Construction Ltd.

Job Summary:

The Carpenter will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and installing structures and fixtures made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials. This includes reading blueprints, measuring, cutting, shaping, assembling, and joining materials to create a safe and functional work environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials to create structures and fixtures
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems
  • Fabricate and install cabinets, doors, windows, stairs, and other woodwork
  • Work at heights, in confined spaces, and in various weather conditions
  • Use hand tools and power tools to complete tasks efficiently
  • Collaborate with other tradespeople to ensure a safe and efficient work environment
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in carpentry or a related field
  • Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in various weather conditions
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labor for extended periods
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Work Environment:

The Carpenter will work in a fast-paced construction environment with varying weather conditions. The work site will be outdoors, and the employee must be able to work at heights and in confined spaces.
