Responsibilities:
  • Study plans, specifications, and drawings to create custom cabinets and furniture
  • Trim joints and fit parts together to form complete units, reinforcing joints as needed
  • Sand wooden surfaces and apply veneer, stain, or polish to finished products
  • Apply varnish, veneer, stain, or polish to finished products
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, supervising other workers as needed
  • Estimate costs and materials for projects
  • Repair or restyle wooden furniture, fixtures, and related products
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience, or equivalent experience
  • Manual dexterity, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 9 kg (20 lbs)
