About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Cake Decorator to join our team at Country Grocer. As a Cake Decorator, you will be responsible for creating visually appealing and delicious baked goods for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Bake and decorate a variety of sweet and savory items, including cakes, cookies, and pastries.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, responding to questions, and making recommendations.
  • Ensure all prepared bakery items are properly labeled, covered, and rotated, and that shelves are stocked.
  • Process special orders as needed.
  • Prepare and package baked goods, including cookies, cakes, and bread, and decorate cakes.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Requirements:

  • A creative flair and artistic ability to create and decorate cakes.
  • A friendly, outgoing personality to ensure customer satisfaction and drive repeat business.
  • Previous cake decorating experience is an asset, and formal schooling in a similar field is highly desirable.
  • Level 1 Baking is an asset, but not required.
  • Food Safe Certification is an asset, but certification upon successful hire will be covered by Country Grocer.
  • Excellent customer service, time management, and multitasking skills.
  • A strong attention to detail and ability to work well under pressure.
