Job Title: Social Work Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Social Work Specialist to join our team at The Métis Nation of Ontario. As a key member of our social services team, you will be responsible for providing support and guidance to our clients, while working collaboratively with community partners to promote social well-being and community development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide education and training to clients on various social services and community resources
  • Conduct assessments and develop plans to address client needs and goals
  • Collaborate with community partners to identify and address social issues and concerns
  • Provide support and guidance to clients on employment, education, and other social services
  • Participate in community outreach and engagement activities to promote social services and community development
Requirements:
  • College diploma or degree in social work or a related field
  • 1-2 years of experience in social services or a related field
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong knowledge of community resources and social services
