Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic - Millwright

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic - Millwright to join our team at Drake International. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our equipment and facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot and repair conveying equipment, gas-related equipment, water-related equipment, and area plant equipment.
  • Apply all aspects of the maintenance program, including preventive and corrective maintenance and reporting.
  • Maintain, repair, install, and replace mechanical systems and associated equipment.
  • Monitor and perform field inspections on equipment, taking necessary actions such as reporting, operating, repairing, fabricating, cleaning, and adjusting.
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
  • Conduct job site assessments and permits.
  • Participate in on-call responsibilities and after-shift rotations.
Requirements:
  • Millwright Certification (College of Trades).
  • Proof of apprenticeship.
  • Previous experience operating equipment and performing maintenance tasks preferred.
  • Previous millwright experience is required.
  • Knowledge of different types of bearings in rotating equipment is essential.
  • Ability to perform all technical aspects of the job using necessary tools or systems.
  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple correspondence.
  • Ability to work different shifts, holidays, and overtime as required.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and follow instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, push, pull, twist, climb, balance, bend (at the waist, lifting above and below the waist), kneel, reach, grasp (using both hands), squat, and perform repetitive motions.
  • Manipulative finger movements with both hands, wrist flexing or rotating, and use of both feet and arms above and below shoulder height
  • Ability to work extended periods in the same position, perform duties in various climates (extreme temperatures), tolerate heights, lift and carry up to 75 lbs, work in confined spaces, and wear respiratory and other personal protective equipment
