Kahnawake Shakotiia'takehnhas Community Services is seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to provide specialized counseling, education, and support services to individuals, families, and the community of Kahnawake.

Job Summary:

The Addictions Response Specialist will work under the supervision of a Clinical Supervisor and the Manager of Support Services to provide comprehensive support services to clients struggling with substance abuse and related problems, including mental health issues, problem gambling, family dynamics, and lifestyle changes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide specialized counseling services to individuals, families, and groups to address substance abuse and related problems.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to meet the unique needs of clients.
  • Collaborate with community agencies and healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive support services.
  • Provide education and support services to clients and their families to promote healthy lifestyle choices and prevent relapse.
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify client needs and develop effective treatment plans.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of client interactions and treatment plans.
Requirements:
  • Must be an active member of the Professional Order of Social Workers or the Acquired Rights List with one to three years of related work experience.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and have access to a vehicle.
