About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at New Asian Village Sherwood Park. As a Food Service Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food service department, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and that our food meets the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and Implement Operational Procedures

Develop and implement effective operational procedures to ensure the smooth running of our food service department, including establishing methods to meet work schedules and requisitioning food and kitchen supplies.

Supervise and Train Staff

Supervise and train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures, and ensure that they are equipped to provide excellent customer service.

Manage Inventory and Budget

Manage inventory levels, prepare budget and cost estimates, and maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.

Ensure Quality Control

Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, and address customer complaints or concerns in a timely and professional manner.

Support Newcomers and Refugees

Assist with immediate settlement needs of newcomers and/or refugees, and support their social and labour market integration.

Support Indigenous People

Offer mentorship, coaching, and/or networking opportunities for Indigenous workers.

Requirements
  • Education

Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.

Experience

1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service supervisory role.

Language

Fluency in English.

Work Schedule

40 hours per week.
