About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Food Counter Attendant to join our team at New Shanghai Golden Chopstick Restaurant. As a Food Counter Attendant, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a seamless dining experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Service
    • Prepare and serve food to customers in a timely and efficient manner.
    • Replenish condiments and other supplies at tables and serving areas.
    • Package take-out food and ensure it is ready for customers to collect.
  • Cleanliness and Sanitation
    • Keep the food counter and surrounding areas clean and sanitized at all times.
    • Wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruit as needed.
  • Customer Service
    • Provide exceptional customer service and respond to customer inquiries in a professional and courteous manner.
    • Take customers' orders and ensure that their requests are met.
  • Inventory and Supply Management
    • Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas.
    • Monitor inventory levels and report any discrepancies to management.
  • Teamwork and Communication
    • Work effectively as part of a team to achieve common goals and objectives.
    • Communicate effectively with colleagues and management to ensure seamless operations.
Requirements
  • Education
    • No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this role.
  • Work Experience
    • Previous experience in a food service environment is an asset.
  • Physical Demands
    • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Language
    • Fluency in English is required.
