Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Application Support Analyst to join our HP TANDEM Nonstop Trading Application Support team. As an Application Support Analyst, you will be responsible for providing technical support and troubleshooting for our BERTON Order Management System, as well as establishing and maintaining UAT, IST, and Production environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with day-to-day management, troubleshooting, and fault isolation of application problems on a 24/7 basis.
  • Identify operational and business risks associated with problem situations and changes.
  • Investigate and analyze application operational failures, including writing up incident and root cause analysis reports.
  • Closure of all production issues raised.
  • Provide managerial reporting and statistical accumulation of incidents, client requests, and other work items.
  • Maintain technical currency by actively seeking out industry trends and organization knowledge to understand alternative approaches and solutions.
  • Manage QA environments (UAT, IST).
  • Assist in setting direction and vision for the team.
  • Develop team management capability.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience as an Application Support Analyst.
  • Technical skills with HP TANDEM NonStop applications, including SCOBOL, COBOL, Enscribe, HP TANDEM Pathway, TACL, ENFORM, iTP web/Soap, IBM MQ, Non Stop/Operating Systems (Guardian, OSS), Shadowbase.
  • Some technical capabilities on UNIX and WINDOWS platforms.
  • Some exposure to Java and SQL Server.
  • Innate ability to effectively deal with high-pressure triage calls involving Priority 1 & 2 trading outage situations.
  • Knowledge of wealth management business domain and trading instruments such as equity, options, mutual-funds, and fixed income.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to provide consulting services on new and strategic initiatives, develop feasibility studies, and proposals for senior management and executive decisions on large complex projects.
  • Understanding of IT standards, Methodologies, CMM, and Audit requirements.
  • Exposure to DevOps (UrbanCodeDeploy, etc).
  • Ability to develop criteria for and participate in the evaluation of third-party vendors and software, as well as due diligence exercises.
  • General knowledge of factors affecting business and good knowledge of trends in the marketplace/technology.
