Job Opportunity
We are currently expanding our Mechanical & Electrical Engineering Division and seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team in Halifax. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing design expertise, project management, and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop electrical systems for building projects, including lighting, power, controls, communications, and life safety systems.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.
- Collaborate with the mechanical engineering team to develop integrated building systems.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers and technicians to ensure their professional growth and development.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices, applying this knowledge to improve our services and processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
- Professional Engineer, licensed or eligible for membership with Engineers Nova Scotia.
- 5-10 years of experience in electrical engineering design, preferably in building systems.
- Excellent communication and project management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
