Position Overview

Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of a college program or a non-university diploma in massage therapy lasting between 1 to 2 years.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a similar role is considered an asset.
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a private practice setting, collaborating with other health care professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with health care professionals to create effective treatment plans.
  • Utilize various massage techniques, including soft tissue manipulation and relaxation methods.
  • Apply targeted pressure to specific body points to alleviate discomfort.
  • Conduct assessments through range of motion and muscle testing to determine appropriate treatment strategies.
  • Communicate treatment procedures, associated risks, and benefits clearly to clients.
  • Maintain detailed records of all treatments administered.
  • Provide massage and kneading services to muscles and soft tissues.
  • Offer home care advice and educate clients on self-care techniques.
Certifications and Memberships

Must hold certification from a recognized provincial or territorial association for massage therapists.
