Job Title: Personal Support Worker

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Personal Support Worker to join our team at RhynoCare Healthcare. As a Personal Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents in long term and acute care facilities.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide nursing care in accordance with established policies, physician's orders, and the resident's plan of care.
  • Utilize sound nursing practice principles to ensure the delivery of excellent nursing and personal care.
  • Ensure timely and accessible admissions for residents, including comprehensive orientation to the home and services offered.
  • Manage the supply, control, and safekeeping of drugs and narcotics, adhering to protocols on assigned shifts.
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care to meet the physical, psychological, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and social needs of residents.
Requirements:
  • Active registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Able to work with persons with infectious diseases.
  • BLS Certificate.
  • Valid First Aid & CPR.
  • Proof of current immunizations for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, and Varicella (MMRV) and negative TB skin test within one year, as well as Hepatitis B.
  • Current Vulnerable Sector Police Check.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work various shift times, including eight or twelve hours, and ability to 'float' between units as needed.
