Job Title: General Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Supervisor to join our team at B.C. LTD.

Job Summary:

The General Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our construction projects, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of carpenters, apprentices, and trades helpers to ensure that projects are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Prepare and submit reports on project progress, including budgets, timelines, and quality control.
  • Coordinate and schedule activities, including material requisitioning and equipment maintenance.
  • Estimate costs and materials for projects, ensuring that they are within budget.
  • Ensure that health and safety regulations are followed, and that all necessary safety protocols are in place.
  • Establish methods to meet work schedules, and ensure that projects are completed on time.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and drawings to ensure that projects are constructed according to plan.
  • Requisition materials and supplies, and coordinate with vendors and suppliers.
  • Supervise and train staff in various areas of responsibility, including carpentry, construction, and project management.
Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of experience in construction or a related field.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • Steel-toed safety boots and other necessary personal protective equipment.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
