Position Overview:

ML6, a prominent player in the manufacturing sector, is on the lookout for a Customer Quality and Continuous Improvement Specialist. This pivotal role focuses on fostering ongoing enhancements and executing corrective and preventative actions (CAPA) to mitigate customer grievances and elevate satisfaction levels. The successful candidate will thrive in a dynamic manufacturing atmosphere, showcasing robust project management capabilities alongside exceptional interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee customer complaints by collaborating with relevant departments, Customer Service Leads, and directly with customers.
  2. Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and prepare 8D reports along with investigation summaries.
  3. Address customer inquiries and complete necessary questionnaires.
  4. Act as a representative of the Quality department, assisting Technical Service Representatives during customer visits for troubleshooting and line trials.
  5. Support internal audits, particularly focusing on commercial and customer audits.
  6. Develop and modify work instructions in line with quality enhancement initiatives.
  7. Plan, facilitate, and endorse continuous improvement projects and Kaizen events aimed at waste reduction.
  8. Collect and evaluate quality performance metrics using tools such as Qlikview, Real SPC, and Excel.
  9. Identify inefficiencies in processes and implement improvement projects.
  10. Monitor and communicate project progress to ensure visibility across teams.
  11. Lead Group CAPA and Cluster initiatives.
  12. Establish and disseminate best practices across various teams.
  13. Promote standardization within the plant across production, processes, and administrative functions.
  14. Provide training on Continuous Improvement Tools and Methods to internal teams.
  15. Support the implementation and monitoring of 5S systems through audits.
  16. Assist in the deployment of Lean methodologies, focusing on waste elimination, 5S, SMED, value stream mapping, layout enhancements, cycle time analysis, and standard work documentation.
  17. Ensure all tasks are performed safely and without risk of injury.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering/Technology, or Quality Assurance/Management.
  2. Black Belt certification in LEAN/DMAIC methodologies from a recognized institution is advantageous.
  3. A minimum of three years of experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, preferably within the plastics sector.
  4. Proven expertise in Lean Manufacturing, Quality Principles, 5S, best practices, and process documentation.
  5. At least two years of project management experience.
  6. Familiarity with injection molding and related processes is preferred.
  7. Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
