Verafin is in search of a skilled Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to enhance our innovative team and play a vital role in the continuous development of our advanced Telehealth platform.


Position Overview
In this role, you will report to the Software Development and Architecture Manager, collaborating with the development team to design, implement, and sustain scalable solutions that cater to the changing demands of our clients and users in the virtual healthcare sector.


As a Senior Engineer, you will partner closely with management to identify requirements and formulate strategies, leverage your expertise to ensure cohesive and functional products, and serve as a mentor to junior developers within the team.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Engage with cross-functional teams to outline, design, and deliver new features and improvements for our Telehealth platform.
  • Architect and implement backend microservices, ensuring optimal performance and scalability.
  • Design and develop frontend components for our Web (React) and Mobile (React Native) applications.
  • Enhance application performance, security, and reliability through best practices and ongoing improvements.
  • Establish automated testing and deployment strategies to uphold high code quality and swift release cycles.
  • Collaborate with Product Management and UX/UI teams to create intuitive user experiences.
  • Participate in code reviews, mentor junior developers, and foster knowledge sharing within the team.

Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent practical experience.
  • Demonstrated experience as a Full Stack Developer or in a similar capacity, with a strong emphasis on backend development.
  • Solid experience with AWS services such as CloudFront, API Gateway, Lambda, S3, and DynamoDB.
  • Proficiency in frontend development using React for Web and React Native for Mobile applications.
  • Experience with serverless architectures utilizing Serverless Framework and/or CloudFormation.
  • Strong understanding of SaaS platforms and principles.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (e.g., Bitbucket).
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and capacity to troubleshoot complex issues.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
