About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Apprentice Roofer to join our team at Flynn Canada Ltd. As an Apprentice Roofer, you will be responsible for assisting experienced roofers in the installation, repair, and maintenance of various roofing systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the installation of built-up roofing systems, including asphalt saturated felts and hot asphalt and gravel.
  • Help install or replace asphalt shingles, wood shingles and shakes, and masonry or baked clay roofing tiles on sloped roofs of buildings.
  • Assist in the installation of single-ply roofing systems using waterproof sheet materials, such as modified plastics, elastomeric or other asphaltic compositions.
  • Repair or replace single-ply roofing systems as needed.
  • Provide instruction and guidance to apprentices.
  • Assist in the installation and repair of metal roofs using hand and power tools.
Work Environment

As an Apprentice Roofer, you will work in a fast-paced environment with physically demanding tasks. You will be required to handle heavy loads, work at heights, and be exposed to noisy and dangerous conditions. You will also work outdoors in various locations, including commercial and industrial settings.

Requirements
  • 1-2 years of experience in the roofing industry.
