Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Gas Installation Technician to join our team at Manpower Services Canada Limit. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in gas fitting and installation, ensuring the safety and efficiency of gas systems in various settings.

Qualifications
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 2 to 3 years in a related field
Work Environment

The role involves working in noisy environments across multiple locations, including both commercial and residential settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Measure and mark reference points for the installation of gas lines and equipment.
  • Install and maintain gas meters, regulators, and lines connecting gas units to meters.
  • Prepare tenders and quotations for clients.
  • Repair and service gas appliances and associated equipment.
  • Provide expert advice to clients on standards, safety features, and maintenance of gas systems.
  • Conduct tests and adjustments on control mechanisms, checking for gas leaks using detection devices.
  • Estimate costs and required materials for projects.
  • Install and service propane and natural gas filling stations.
  • Test and replace defective components as necessary.
Certifications

Applicants must hold a Gas Fitter Certificate - Level 2 or B.

Safety and Security

A criminal record check is required for this position.

Transportation Requirements

A valid driver's license is necessary for travel between job sites.
