Chemical Process Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Chemical/Process Engineer to join our team at Professional Staffing. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading and contributing to the design, development, and optimization of solvent extraction processes for heavy rare earth elements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop solvent extraction processes for rare earth elements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements and troubleshoot complex extraction challenges.
- Provide technical support and expertise on chemical process design, testing, and scale-up operations.
- Work closely with mechanical engineers to integrate solvent extraction processes into larger operational systems.
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations throughout the development of extraction technologies.
- Communicate effectively with project teams and stakeholders to deliver clear reports and updates.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in solvent extraction, particularly related to rare earth elements.
- Strong background in chemical process engineering or mechanical engineering.
- Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Conversational English proficiency is required.
- Flexibility in working remotely, with openness to candidates from any country.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working within the rare earth element extraction sector or similar industries.
- Located in Kingston or Toronto, Ontario, although remote candidates are encouraged to apply.
