Job Title: School Social Worker

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate School Social Worker to join our team at the Halton District School Board. As a key member of our clinical services team, you will work closely with students, parents, educators, and other school-based staff to provide support and services that promote student wellbeing and academic success.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide problem-solving and consultation services to develop supportive strategies for students
  • Offer individual and group counseling, as well as support to parents and families
  • Provide comprehensive support and case management, and knowledge of local and regional community resources
  • Support schools and communities around issues of bullying prevention/intervention and other issues related to school safety
Requirements:
  • Master's Degree in Social Work
  • Member in good standing of the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Access to reliable transportation
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working in a school board setting
  • Experience working with students, parents, educators, and other school-based staff
  • Experience supporting individuals from diverse backgrounds and experiences
