Job Title: Registered Practical Nurse - CVH 4 Mother and Baby

Mackenzie Health is seeking a skilled Registered Practical Nurse to join our team in the Woman and Child Program. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality care to post-partum women and their newborns, while also contributing to a safe and inclusive environment for all.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide holistic, patient-centered care to post-partum women and their newborns
  • Work collaboratively with the interprofessional care team to create a world-class health experience
  • Contribute to safe, quality care by managing workload effectively, addressing issues productively, and exercising sound professional judgment
  • Comply with patient and staff safety policies and procedures
Requirements:
  • Current Certificate of Registration in the General Class with the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification preferred
  • Practical Nurse Diploma from an approved nursing program preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal, listening, and verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Demonstrated strong decision-making, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience within the Registered Practical Nurse classification
  • Scrub Nurse experience
  • Fetal health surveillance course (FHSL)
  • Previous obstetrical experience
  • Member of the Registered Practical Nurses' Association of Ontario (RPNAO)
