Position Overview
We are seeking a (Senior) Manager, Upstream Site MSAT who will serve as the expert in GMP scale purification of monoclonal and bispecific antibodies. This role is critical in shaping process and facility design. You will collaborate closely with various departments, including manufacturing operations, process development, engineering, and quality assurance, to ensure successful technology transfer and production in our state-of-the-art GMP facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Delivering technical expertise as the authority on cell culture processes for monoclonal and bispecific antibodies.
- Facilitating technology transfer of new processes from development to manufacturing, ensuring successful scale-up and risk management.
- Collaborating with pilot plant operations to conduct process and raw material risk assessments, and developing control strategies.
- Contributing to the design of processes and facilities to implement best practices.
- Providing support for bioprocessing decisions in manufacturing, ensuring alignment with quality standards.
- Designing compliant manufacturing systems that enhance operational efficiency.
- Identifying and implementing advancements in GMP technologies to optimize processing time and yield.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in the development and manufacturing of monoclonal and bispecific antibodies, with a degree in biotechnology, biochemistry, chemical engineering, or a related field.
- Strong technical background in mammalian cell culture and upstream operations, with experience in scaling processes to 2000L.
- In-depth knowledge of upstream processing methods for clinical programs and a solid understanding of GMP regulations.
- Experience in technology transfer and scaling processes from pilot to GMP levels.
- A passion for building innovative teams and capabilities.
- Creative problem-solving skills with the ability to foresee and mitigate potential challenges.
- Strong operational skills, particularly in risk management, with a focus on maintaining process integrity.
