- Educational Requirements: Completion of secondary school or equivalent experience
- Experience Level: 2 to less than 3 years in a similar role
- Work Environment: Outdoor settings, confined spaces, exposure to odours
- Work Locations: Various job sites
- Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and sand surfaces prior to painting
- Repair imperfections such as cracks and holes
- Mix paints to achieve desired colours and textures
- Measure, cut, and apply wallpaper and other materials
- Set up scaffolding and swing stages as needed
- Apply paint, wallpaper, and finishes to both interior and exterior surfaces
- Equipment Proficiency: Experience with brush painting, patterned rollers, and roller painting techniques
- Surface Preparation Skills: Proficient in drywall taping and patching
- Travel Requirements: Must be willing to travel
- Physical Demands: Attention to detail, hand-eye coordination, ability to bend, crouch, and kneel; physically demanding tasks
- Weight Handling: Capable of lifting up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
- Required Tools: Steel-toed safety boots
