Job Summary

The Senior Communications Specialist, Digital Media will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive digital communications strategy for BC Housing. This includes creating and curating engaging content for various digital channels, executing social media campaigns, and monitoring online conversations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a digital communications strategy that aligns with BC Housing's goals and objectives
  • Create and curate high-quality content for digital channels, including social media, websites, and email newsletters
  • Execute social media campaigns to engage with diverse audiences and promote BC Housing's programs and services
  • Monitor online conversations and respond to comments and concerns in a timely and professional manner
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and implement content marketing strategies
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in digital communications

Requirements

  • Advanced diploma in communications, journalism, public relations, marketing, or a related field
  • Considerable progressive experience in communications or marketing, with a focus on digital content and social media
  • Strong writing, editing, and presentation skills
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Ability to work with a wide variety of online social media platforms
  • Ability to produce high-quality visual content, including photography and videography
  • Ability to use design tools, such as Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and pressures, with a high degree of attention to detail

Working Conditions

  • Ability to work evenings and weekends as required
  • Ability to arrange suitable transportation to various sites
