The Luxury Sales Specialist is responsible for building strong, enduring relationships with clients, which contribute to increased sales, exceptional service, and customer loyalty. Delivering outstanding service requires each Luxury Sales Specialist to possess in-depth knowledge of the products in their designated department as well as a broad understanding of the store's offerings. Luxury Sales Specialists aim to achieve a minimum sales volume of $1MM annually, operating on a commission basis that allows for unlimited earning potential. Upon reaching the $1MM milestone, Luxury Sales Specialists gain access to enhanced clienteling and customer development resources.

Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  1. Provide comprehensive wardrobe solutions for customers, covering all aspects of their fashion needs
  2. Foster long-term client relationships through proactive engagement
  3. Attract new clientele and introduce them to the Holt Renfrew experience
  4. Stay informed about current fashion trends and translate this knowledge into valuable advice for clients
  5. Prioritize customer understanding – identifying their preferences, needs, and dislikes
  6. Showcase product and style expertise, demonstrating how offerings meet customer needs
  7. Participate in floor recovery, visual merchandising, pricing updates, and other sales support activities
  8. Adhere to all Health & Safety regulations and policies
  9. Ensure compliance with privacy regulations and cybersecurity protocols
  10. Undertake additional duties as required

The ideal candidate will possess:

  1. A proven track record of surpassing sales goals
  2. Knowledge of fashion styling and wardrobe consulting techniques
  3. Expertise in building customer relationships that translate into sales; empathetic and understanding
  4. Proficiency in the emotional aspects of sales; able to connect with clients and leverage those relationships
  5. A collaborative spirit, thriving in a team-oriented environment
  6. An entrepreneurial mindset, competitive nature, self-confidence, and motivation
  7. The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment requiring multitasking with minimal supervision
  8. Flexibility to work varied hours based on customer needs, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  9. A minimum of three years of experience in a commission-based sales role
  10. Previous retail experience in a luxury setting is preferred
