About the Role

Crop Defenders Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled Farm Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of our farm, including the supervision of farm workers and the maintenance of farm equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement farm safety and bio-security procedures to ensure the health and well-being of our staff and livestock.
  • Maintain accurate financial and production records to inform business decisions.
  • Negotiate with clients to provide high-quality agricultural services, including plowing, irrigating, cultivating, spraying, and harvesting.
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of farm workers and harvesting labourers to ensure efficient and effective operations.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Develop and implement quality control and production records to ensure the highest standards of crop production.
  • Supervise and oversee breeding and livestock-related programs to ensure the health and well-being of our animals.
  • Supervise and oversee growing and crop-related operations to ensure optimal crop yields.
  • Hire and train staff to ensure a skilled and motivated team.
  • Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment to ensure efficient and effective operations.
  • Maintain the bee yard and beekeeping equipment to ensure the health and well-being of our bees.
Requirements
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Health care plan provided.
  • Permanent position.
  • 40 hours per week.
  • English language proficiency.
