Our mission is to establish an environment and tools that enable decentralized game production, allowing global talent to engage in their ideal game projects. By decentralizing game development, we strive to create equitable opportunities for all. We partner with over 1400 programmers, artists, and designers, from freelancers to small studios, located worldwide. Our role encompasses not only connecting them with project opportunities but also managing the entire production process from inception to completion.
Position Overview:
We are in search of a skilled and seasoned 3D Animation Director to take charge of our animation team. In this capacity, you will be responsible for guiding the artistic team and ensuring the exceptional delivery of engaging animations for various game development projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Creative Direction: Lead the 3D animation team in producing high-quality animations for characters, creatures, environments, and more, ensuring alignment with the project's artistic vision.
- Animation Expertise: Utilize your knowledge of diverse animation styles, from realistic to stylized, to meet the requirements of various projects. Guide the team in adapting to these styles as necessary.
- Production Oversight: Manage the animation workflow from concept to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards. Collaborate closely with other departments, including art, design, and programming, to ensure seamless integration of animations.
- Team Development: Provide mentorship and professional growth opportunities for the animation team, fostering a creative and productive atmosphere.
- Client Engagement: Collaborate directly with clients to grasp their vision and requirements, ensuring that the final animations surpass their expectations. Maintain regular communication with clients to provide updates and gather feedback.
- Technical Proficiency: Stay informed about the latest animation tools, techniques, and industry trends. Implement and refine workflows that enhance efficiency and quality in the animation process.
- Quality Control: Review and critique animations to ensure they meet the highest quality standards. Offer constructive feedback to the team to help them achieve excellence.
Qualifications:
- Experience: A minimum of 5 years in 3D animation, with at least 2 years in a leadership or director role within the gaming sector.
- Expertise: Proficiency in various animation styles, with a robust portfolio showcasing your work in both realistic and stylized animations.
- Technical Skills: Advanced knowledge of industry-standard animation software (e.g., Maya, Blender, 3ds Max) and game engines (e.g., Unity, Unreal Engine).
- Leadership: Proven ability to inspire and lead a team of animators, with excellent project management and organizational skills.
- Communication: Strong collaboration skills, capable of working effectively with both internal teams and external clients.
- Creativity: A passion for storytelling through animation, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to continuous improvement.
