Position: Class 1 Pneumatic Bulker Driver
Type: Full Time
We are in search of qualified Class 1 Pneumatic Bulker Drivers to engage in pneumatic tank operations across Western Canada.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate a tractor-trailer combination to transport dry bulk materials such as salt and cement powder throughout Western Canada.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Valid Class 1 Driver's License with a clean driving record.
- Experience with manual transmission vehicles is essential.
- Willingness to travel away from home for extended periods.
- A minimum of one year of Class 1 driving experience, including Super-B operation.
- Experience with pneumatic tankers is highly desirable.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Comprehensive understanding of load securement regulations.
- Familiarity with Hours of Service regulations and electronic logging systems.
- Capability to conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
- Effective communication skills for relaying information to dispatch.
- Ability to assess and respond to road conditions appropriately.
- Strong mechanical skills for routine vehicle maintenance.
- Demonstrated organizational skills, including effective time management and task prioritization.
- Professional demeanor in high-pressure situations.
- Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
- Strong work ethic and self-motivation.
Working Conditions:
- Outdoor work in varying weather conditions is required.
- Extended periods away from home are expected.
- Willingness to stay in a bunk truck unit while on assignment.
