Job Title: Agile Software Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Agile Software Engineer to join our team at the Communications Security Establishment (CSE). As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining application software on multiple platforms.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop software applications using modern languages such as Java, C, C++, Python, or modern web languages and frameworks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements.
  • Develop and maintain software applications to ensure they meet the required security standards.
  • Participate in code reviews and ensure that all code meets the highest standards of quality and security.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in software development and security.
Requirements:
  • University degree in a field related to the position, such as Computer Science, Engineering, or Mathematics.
  • Relevant experience in software development, including programming experience with at least one modern language.
  • Knowledge of information technology, including software application development, data storage systems, IT security, IT architecture, system administration, networking, and telecommunications.
  • Effective interpersonal skills and ability to work cooperatively and effectively within and across organizational units.
  • Canadian citizenship and eligibility for a Top Secret security clearance.
Asset Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of cloud technologies, modern software development architectures, DevOps, databases, software reverse engineering, and vulnerability research.
  • Ability to design, define, develop, construct, enhance, support, and maintain application software on multiple platforms.
