Key Responsibilities:

Client Engagement

Build and sustain effective relationships with industry networks and clients. Ensure the team delivers an exceptional client experience.

Team Leadership

Drive the growth and management of your team in alignment with GHD's core values, while enhancing opportunities and capabilities. Collaborate with the Business Group Leader (BGL) to mentor and develop the team. Work alongside the BGL to establish resources, systems, and processes that meet client expectations. Organize and oversee the team's workload. Maintain a safe working environment and culture in accordance with our Health & Safety standards. Foster effective relationships with other leaders and key personnel.

Performance Management

Contribute to the formulation and execution of the Business Group's action plan. Implement and oversee resources, systems, and processes to ensure timely service delivery that meets client requirements and budgets. Identify and manage risks and opportunities within the team. Ensure compliance with Quality and Health & Safety standards while promoting continuous improvement. Lead technical staff in pursuing work, preparing bids, proposals, and schedules for clients across various sectors. Guide technical staff and project managers in delivering technical outputs to clients. Cultivate relationships with existing clients and develop new client opportunities. Collaborate with the business development team and pursuit leaders. Provide thought leadership and mentorship to both internal and external clients. Manage and represent projects to regulators and stakeholders. Champion GHD's Health, Safety, and Environmental management and uphold our core values.

Qualifications:

Professional Engineer, Professional Geoscientist, or Environmental Scientist credentials. At least 15 years of experience, including 5 years in a leadership role within environmental teams. Advanced degree and/or PMP certification are advantageous. Proven experience in corporate strategic planning and successful strategy implementation. In-depth understanding of the Environmental Market in Western Canada and North America. Excellent interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across all organizational levels. Demonstrated leadership in personnel management, decision-making, and team development. Strong technical expertise in contaminated site assessment and remediation. Solid business acumen and commercial skills. Proactive, strategic thinker with a creative approach. Exceptional client engagement and relationship management skills. Experience in managing multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail in a consulting environment.
