Exciting Opportunity for an Intermediate Architect

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Intermediate Architect to join our team at a renowned architecture and design firm in Vancouver. As an Intermediate Architect, you will play a key role in advancing projects from initial design through to construction, collaborating with a talented group of architects, designers, and technicians.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and refine architectural design concepts from design development to final contract documents.
  • Prepare detailed specifications, construction drawings, and building permit applications.
  • Perform contract administration duties, both on-site and in the office.
  • Provide technical direction and support to team members.
  • Experience with managing project work plans and design schedules to ensure timely and successful project delivery.
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, and City officials to ensure project compliance and address any issues.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
  • 3-5 years of professional experience with a strong portfolio showcasing design skill and construction drawings and documentation.
  • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp / Rhino, Lumion, 3DsMax are an asset
  • Expertise in construction detailing and working drawings.
  • Experience with construction administration is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a solid understanding of technical and conceptual design aspects.
  • Ability to coordinate complex projects involving multiple consultants.
  • Knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and bylaws.
  • Understanding of building materials and technologies.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach.
