Job Summary
Douglas College is seeking a qualified Contract Faculty member to teach Veterinary Technology courses in the Fall 2024 semester.
Responsibilities
- Instruct students and facilitate learning in College courses
- Evaluate student progress and provide academic advice
- Plan, organize, and manage learning activities and resources
- Maintain quality learner-centered instruction
Requirements
- Minimum of one of the following qualifications:
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from an accredited university and registration with the College of Veterinarians of BC
- A Master's degree in conjunction with a diploma in Animal Health Technology or Veterinary Technology from an accredited program and registration with the BC Veterinary Technology Association (BCVTA)
Preferred Qualifications
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Experience with post-secondary teaching
