About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Caregiver to join our team at Chartwell Légende résidence pour retraités. As a Medical Caregiver, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with daily living activities: Serve meal trays, feed patients, and assist with bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Maintain a safe environment: Administer first aid in emergency situations, and maintain inventory of supplies.
  • Communicate effectively: Answer call signals to determine patients' needs, and provide excellent oral communication.
  • Work collaboratively: Team up with colleagues to ensure seamless care delivery, and demonstrate initiative and flexibility.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Certifications: Moving Patients Safety Principles (MPSP) training, CPR Certificate, and a criminal record check.
Work Environment

As a Medical Caregiver at Chartwell Légende résidence pour retraités, you will work in a fast-paced environment, under pressure, and with repetitive tasks. You must be physically demanding, with manual dexterity, attention to detail, and ability to distinguish between colours and sound discrimination.
