Job Summary

Woodbine Entertainment, a leading global entertainment company, is seeking a highly skilled and ambitious Network Broadcast Producer to join its team. As a key member of the Broadcasting department, you will be responsible for developing and executing live network broadcast productions that showcase the company's world-class horse racing product and other international racing events.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality live broadcasts
  • Develop and execute live network broadcast productions, including world feed programming and in-house-produced Woodbine race productions
  • Work with external technical facilities providers and crew members to execute large live-to-air productions
  • Design and develop all elements of network programming rundowns
  • Collaborate with the Broadcast team and Social & Content team to set the vision for network broadcast storytelling assets
  • Work with the Graphic Design team to develop and execute high-impact graphic assets for network broadcast programming
  • Learn and provide back-fill support for internal simulcast productions as required

Job Specifications

  • Post-secondary diploma or degree in Broadcasting or equivalent work-related experience
  • 8-10 years of experience producing live-event sports coverage
  • Advanced understanding of content creation and delivery for multiple channels (linear television, social media, digital channels)
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a large team
  • Advanced understanding of live television technology and operation
  • Creative and out-of-the-box thinking
  • Experience leading creative and technical teams to deliver live-to-air content
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to take control when necessary and balance team relationships
  • Advanced problem-solving skills, with the ability to thrive in stressful situations

Education and Experience

  • Post-secondary diploma or degree in broadcasting or related field, and/or related work experience
  • 8-10 years of experience producing live event sports coverage
