The Property Finance team at Venterra has been experiencing substantial growth in its role and capacity to create value throughout the organization.
This team is strategically positioned to collaborate closely with Asset Management, Operations, Investor Relations, Technology, Acquisitions, and Senior Leadership to refine essential business processes and provide actionable financial insights that significantly benefit Venterra.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong passion for problem-solving and will be adept at navigating ambiguous requirements to deliver value in new and evolving situations.
This position will report to the Finance Manager - Modelling and Financial Analytics, who will consistently encourage the candidate to spearhead change, identify value-adding opportunities, and embrace increasing responsibilities.
As a member of the Property Finance team, the candidate will engage with peers for collaboration and challenge, working cohesively to support Venterra's ambitious growth strategy.
We anticipate that the Senior Financial Analyst will advance into more senior positions within Venterra, and our performance-driven culture will facilitate their career progression.
Responsibilities include developing comprehensive financial models based on business needs, emphasizing automated data refresh and result validation.
Utilize SQL to investigate and analyze financial data to provide actionable insights; collaborate with the business to mitigate risks and seize identified opportunities.
Identify process inefficiencies and lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance business performance.Participate in a variety of impactful projects, initiatives, and ad-hoc requests.
A minimum of 4 years of progressive experience in financial modeling and analysis is required; advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling is essential, including:
- Extracting and interpreting large datasets
- Cleaning data using SQL/Excel formulas
- Summarizing data into concise actionable insights
- Building user toggles for sensitivity analysis
Attention to detail and the discipline to establish automated QA tests to ensure the accuracy of deliverables are crucial.
