About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Development Engineer II to join our Robotics and Data Infrastructure team at Amazon. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing innovative data solutions for our global customers.

Your primary focus will be on conceptualizing and implementing large-scale data processing systems that address business needs across the organization. You will work closely with our team of passionate engineers to develop cost-effective and efficient solutions that promote streamlined and optimized approaches.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop high-performing, reliable distributed streaming data processing systems of global scale.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for convergence or simplification of solutions.
  • Mentor and guide junior team members to foster a culture of high standards and continuous improvement.
  • Implement solutions leveraging a diverse range of serverless AWS services, including AWS Cloud Development Kit (CDK) for infrastructure as code (IaC).
  • Develop and maintain solutions written in various programming languages, such as Java, TypeScript, GoLang, and Python.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language and full software development life cycle experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
