Job Summary

Modern Finishing Inc. is seeking a skilled Drywall Installation Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for installing drywall sheets, mixing plaster ingredients, and ensuring a smooth finish on our projects.

Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements
  • Clean and prepare surfaces for drywall installation
  • Measure, cut, and fit drywall sheets to ensure a precise fit
  • Mix plaster ingredients to the desired consistency
  • Cut openings in lath for heating and ventilation piping, ducts, and electrical outlets
  • Install corner beads and wire mesh around beams to which plaster is to be applied
  • Prepare wall and ceiling layouts
  • Estimate costs and materials
  • Work at heights, on scaffolding, or swing stages
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience
  • Ability to work in a dusty, hot, noisy, and outdoors environment
  • Commercial, residential, rural area, and urban area experience
  • Ability to work at heights and handle heavy loads
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and physical stamina
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
