The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced lawyer to join our Real Estate group in our Montréal office. As a member of this team, you will play a key role in providing expert legal services to clients engaged in various real estate transactions. Your responsibilities will include drafting and negotiating agreements, advising clients on real estate matters, and identifying and mitigating risks associated with corporate transactions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advising clients on real estate transactions, including purchase and sale agreements, lease agreements, and related documents.
  • Drafting and reviewing offers to lease, lease agreements, and related documents for office, industrial, and retail properties.
  • Identifying and assessing risks associated with corporate transactions from a real estate perspective and providing optimal risk mitigation remedies.
  • Providing strategic guidance on regulatory compliance matters, including title and zoning.
  • Structuring co-ownership, joint venture, limited partnership, and management agreements for real estate development projects.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will be a qualified lawyer with 4-6 years of experience in private practice or in-house experience focused on real estate transactions. You will have a strong understanding of real estate matters, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Fluency in both English and French is required.
