Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at Toptierreps. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for diagnosing, assessing, and treating human communication disorders, including speech, fluency, language, voice, and swallowing disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Diagnostic and Assessment
    • Administer comprehensive tests and examinations to diagnose and evaluate speech, voice, resonance, language, fluency, cognitive-linguistic, and swallowing disorders
    • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address patient needs
  2. Treatment and Remediation
    • Design and implement evidence-based remedial programs to correct speech, voice, language, fluency, resonance, cognitive-linguistic, and swallowing disorders
    • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to establish group and personalized care plans
  3. Patient and Family Support
    • Provide education and counseling to patients and families regarding communication and swallowing disorders
    • Develop and implement strategies to promote patient engagement and empowerment
  4. Research and Development
    • Conduct research on speech and other communication disorders to inform clinical practice and policy
    • Develop and design diagnostic procedures and devices to improve patient outcomes
  5. Supervision and Instruction
    • Supervise and mentor communicative disorders assistants, students, and other healthcare personnel
    • Develop and implement training programs to enhance clinical skills and knowledge
  6. Additional Responsibilities
    • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes
    • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures to promote best practices in speech-language pathology
Requirements
  1. Certification by the College of Audiology and Speech Language Pathology of Ontario (CASLPO) in good standing
  2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  3. Commitment to ongoing medical education and professional development
  4. Ability to manage a diverse range of health issues in patients of all age groups
