About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Greenhouse Labourer to join our team at Amber Greenhouse & Farms Inc. as a permanent employee.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cultivate and maintain vertical farming systems to ensure optimal plant growth and development.
  • Perform regular greenhouse cleaning and maintenance tasks to ensure a clean and safe working environment.
  • Guide growing shoots into optimal development positions to maximize yields and quality.
  • Hand harvest vegetables and other crops to ensure freshness and quality.
  • Transplant seedlings or rooted cuttings to promote healthy growth and development.
  • Mix and prepare soils to ensure optimal nutrient levels and pH balance.
  • Apply fertilizers and other plant treatments as needed to promote healthy growth and development.
  • Monitor and report signs of insect or disease damage to ensure prompt action is taken to prevent further damage.
  • Water and tend to plants, lawns, and/or gardens to ensure optimal growth and development.
  • Clean and maintain work areas to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
Requirements
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this role.
  • Will train on the job to ensure the successful completion of tasks and responsibilities.
  • English language proficiency is required for this role.
  • 35-40 hours per week.
