CEDA is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Technician to join our team in Fort McMurray. As a key member of our shop team, you will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance, diagnostic repairs, and troubleshooting on a variety of heavy equipment, including hydrovacs, wet vacuum trucks, and high-pressure water blasting equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment, including hydraulic, electrical, and pump systems
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot complex equipment issues
  • Replace or repair defective parts as needed
  • Work alongside apprentices and delegate tasks
  • Attend daily tool box and safety meetings

Requirements:

  • Heavy Equipment Technician Journeyman certification
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license with no more than 5 demerits in the last 3 years
  • Class 1 or 3 driver's license an asset
  • CVIP license or ability to obtain
  • Experience with hydraulic, electrical, and pump systems an asset
