Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Network Systems Specialist to manage and enhance our computer networking systems at IMPORTATION INTERNATIONAL BOCHITEX. The ideal candidate will possess a solid educational background and relevant experience in network management.

Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of a college, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma program lasting between 3 months to less than 1 year.
  • Experience: A minimum of 1 year to less than 2 years in a related field or equivalent experience.
Work Environment

This role is situated within a manufacturing setting, requiring adaptability and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer, troubleshoot, and maintain local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), and associated computer workstations and peripherals.
  • Monitor and assess the performance of computer systems and networks to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Conduct troubleshooting, maintenance, and upgrades of web server hardware and software.
  • Evaluate and implement computer hardware, networking software, and operating system software.
  • Execute routine network startup and shutdown procedures while maintaining accurate control records.
  • Research and apply metadata to websites and ensure proper registration with search engines.
  • Address inquiries and provide assistance to website visitors and designers.
  • Perform backup and recovery operations for web servers.
Supervision

This position does not entail supervisory responsibilities.

Technical Proficiency
  • Familiarity with Development and Operations (DevOps) practices.
  • Knowledge of JavaOS and various networking software.
Transportation and Travel

Public transportation options are readily available for commuting.
