Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled General Manager to lead our business operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and directing the activities of the company, identifying potential retail partners, and establishing initial contact. They will also discuss and finalize terms of sale, including pricing, delivery schedule, and payment terms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and direct the activities of the business
  • Identify potential retail partners and establish initial contact
  • Discuss and finalize terms of sale, including pricing, delivery schedule, and payment terms
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with retail buyers and decision-makers
  • Monitor accounts to ensure clients are satisfied and to help secure their repeat business
  • Review reports on sales activities, performance metrics, and market insights on a regular basis
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication with all internal and external stakeholders of the business
  • Identify business risks and devise solutions to mitigate those risks
  • Organize and chair meetings of the Board of Trustees, Investors, Audit Committee, Grievances Committee, Ethics Committee, Remuneration Committee, Management Committee, as well as the Shareholders General Meeting
  • Implement and manage appropriate systems and processes to ensure the business is in compliance with applicable laws and regulations
  • Manage issues pertaining to intellectual property rights, takeover regulations, mergers and acquisitions, joint venture agreements, memoranda of understanding and contracts, etc.
  • Manage the corporate governance process
  • Formulate and implement a global legal compliance program for the business
  • Promote products and secure orders to ensure there is a smooth flow of goods from the suppliers to the retail stores

Requirements:

  • University degree or college diploma in business administration, commerce, or fashion management
  • Substantial experience as a manager
  • Substantial experience in sales
  • Substantial experience in the retail or fashion industry
  • Significant experience in compliance management concerning corporate governance
  • Significant experience with stakeholder management
  • Solid understanding of clothing and lifestyle products
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Strong analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail
