Job Summary

Campbell River Christian School is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Special Education Assistant to join our team. As a Special Education Assistant, you will work closely with teachers to support the educational, spiritual, and character development of students with Individualized Educational Plans (IEPs).

Key Responsibilities
  • Support students with IEPs in a classroom setting, implementing tasks and instructional practices programmed by designated teachers.
  • Communicate effectively with classroom teachers and the Special Education Director to ensure seamless support for students.
  • Maintain accurate student records and attend staff, SPED, or parent meetings as required.
  • Participate in staff prayer meetings and demonstrate a willingness to pray regularly for students and their families.
  • Undertake other responsibilities as assigned by the SPED Director or Vice-Principal or Principal.
Requirements
  • Educational Assistant certificate or in the process of obtaining one.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Flexibility and a 'can-do' attitude.
  • Willingness to uphold the school's and ACSI's Statements of Faith.
