About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Framing Carpenter to join our team at HI - TECH CONCRETE SOLUTIONS. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for ensuring the structural integrity of our buildings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare layouts and designs in accordance with building codes and regulations.
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials.
  • Prepare tenders and quotations for clients.
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
  • Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware.
  • Survey building locations and levels.
  • Instruct apprentices and provide guidance on best practices.
  • Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in various settings.
Requirements
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1-2 years.
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in the field.
  • Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in noisy environments.
  • Excellent physical stamina and ability to lift heavy materials.
  • Personal protective equipment (PPE) training and First Aid Certificate.
  • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate.
