About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Software Architect to join our team at F. Hoffmann-La Roche Gruppe. As a key member of our software development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying scalable web applications and services.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Design and Development: Write high-quality, scalable, supportable, and extensible code for software applications, ensuring seamless integration with our existing CI pipeline and contributing to continuous improvements.
  2. Leadership and Collaboration: Provide technical leadership and guidance to the team, collaborating with software architects on deployment architecture for optimal stability, performance, and security.
  3. Technical Expertise: Possess expertise in crafting relational data models, REST APIs, and implementing message broker-based distributed architectures, along with experience in both relational and NoSQL databases.
  4. Regulated Products: Have experience developing regulated products under design control.
  5. Cloud Infrastructure: Develop and deploy production software using public cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS.
  6. DevOps Automation: Familiarity with DevOps automation tools like Jenkins, Terraform, Ansible, etc.
Requirements
  1. Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.
  2. Experience: Over 8 years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, and deploying scalable web applications and services, with proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, and JPA.
  3. Leadership Skills: Proven leadership skills to guide the team towards successful project execution.
  4. Soft Skills: Passion for continuous improvement in software development processes and framework, along with a curiosity in bioinformatics analysis and computational pipelines.
