Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Classroom Assistant to join our team on a part-time basis. The successful candidate will have a strong passion for Waldorf Education and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the classroom teacher in creating a nurturing and engaging learning environment
- Assist with lesson planning, preparation, and implementation
- Work with elementary age students to promote academic and social growth
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with students, parents, and staff
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge
Requirements:
- Excellent command of the English language, written and spoken
- Experience working with elementary age students
- Minimum EC Level 1 Certificate, EA training, or equivalent
- Current police check (less than 6 months old)
- Standard First Aid (level C) with CPR/AED
- Experience in, or a passion for Waldorf Education
