Job Title: Powder Coating Shop Labourer

Impact Coatings Inc is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Shop Labourer to support our powder coating and shop duties.

We are a reputable powder coating, ceramic coating, and sandblasting shop in west Edmonton, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction and quality workmanship. As a Shop Labourer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our shop and delivering exceptional results to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review work orders to ensure customer requirements are met
  • Prepare customer parts for coating, including cleaning, taping, plugging, and sandblasting as required
  • Operate power tools and equipment safely and efficiently
  • Monitor cure times and notify the shop manager of any issues
  • Keep the workspace and machines clean and free of debris and contaminants
  • Transfer coated items in and out of the oven using a rolling rack or cart
  • Review completed items for quality and transfer them to the staging area for customers
Requirements:
  • Secondary school graduate
  • Minimum 2 consecutive years of experience in a powder coating shop (an asset)
  • Good judgment, initiative, and attention to detail are essential
  • Tidy and punctual with a strong work ethic
  • Ability to work individually and in a team environment
  • Willingness to accept instruction and provide feedback
  • Ability to lift up to 50lb occasionally
